• Performers are expected to provide an evening’s worth of entertaining music according to the times agreed upon for the night.   Normally 8 to 11 on Friday and Saturdays, and 7:30 to 9:30 on other nights.  Breaks between sets are fine.  Usually 2 sets for a 2 hour show and 3 sets for a 3 hour show.  We do allow you to set up a tip jar and in fact if you don’t have one we usually have one behind the counter performers can use. 
   
• Coffee Works is an eatery and entertainment venue that gives away the music to its patrons and our goal is that your appearance brings us sales.  Sales are what keeps us in business and lets us have you perform for our customers and be our entertainment.  
   
• You are expected to promote Coffee Works, their food, coffee, beverages, desserts, etc.. along with promoting your show.    Bringing your friends and family out to your show is what we are looking for.    In fact tell them to come hungry and to enjoy our food and beverage along with your performance.   We also ask that you to promote Coffee Work’s food and beverages during the night.  At least once per set.
   
• Coffee Works is an all ages venue and any performances must be appropriate for an “all ages” audience.  No profanity and No explicit sexual content in the material you bring to Coffee Works.
   
• We are an acoustic music venue and can not support bands with full drum kits or that use hi power amps.  We prefer you use our house sound system which is very capable of handling the volume level of music we desire plus the sound is distributed evenly and also piped outside.  We do allow you to use additional equipment as long as this is arranged ahead of time and we approve.  
   
• Coffee Works is  a place that people come to socialize and the music is a bonus.  The music can not get so loud as to not allow people to converse amongst themselves.  This is why we book acoustic acts.  A moderate volume level is expected throughout your show.   
  
  If you are told by Coffee Works management that you are too loud then you must turn down the volume.  Coffee Works Cafe reserves the right to "pull the plug on" and/or not pay a performer that does not lower the volume if asked.
   

* * *   Thusday night performers should try and rally at least 10/12 friends and family members to come out and see your show.
