All coffees and teas are available for customers to purchase in bulk for home consumption or gifts.  Green coffee is also available for the most dedicated customers who wish to try their hand at home roasting.  Home roasting devices are available from a variety of sources, but some artisans have learned to roast their coffee at home in their kitchen oven. Coffee Works others merchandise, such as:  tea pots, decorative ceramicware, logo shirts, and home use espresso and coffee brewing equipment, and most importantly, logo travel mugs.

Services

For those tea connoisseurs we offer a wide variety of teapots, tea for ones, tea infusors of all types, and pretty tea cups.  Other items are our bulk teas, honey sticks, cookies, pretzels, biscottis to accompany a purchase.  We also make many gift baskets throughout the year; especially at the holidays.

 Our specialty is freshly roasted coffee, from 100% Arabica green coffee beans.  Coffee is roasted in the store by Roaster Rick Lewis.  In store roasting allows Coffee Works to provide fresh, high quality coffee, prepared and blended to meet the taste preferences of the local community.  In store roasting the finest available estate, organic and fair trade coffees to the optimum levels, allows Coffee Works to offer a wide variety of World Class coffees.  More importantly, Coffee Works’ patrons appreciate our personal touch.  Customers will have a unique opportunity to watch their coffees being roasted and then served fresh and hot in their cups.

 Roasting is only one factor in producing a great cup of coffee.  Preparation of the beverage is equally important.  There are many types of coffee beverages; espresso based and regular coffee; smoothies, frappes, and other frozen beverages. We use Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) recommended equipment and procedures in preparing our beverages. Coffee Works staff is subjected to a comprehensive training program consisting of lectures, video, and hands-on training, to ensure they understand the key aspects of serving quality coffees.

 Obtaining the optimum level of extraction from ground coffee is the key to preparing the “Perfect Cup”.  Experts acknowledge that the use of a coffee press is one of the best ways to optimize coffee extraction.  Coffee Works has brought back the coffee press allowing tableside preparation of your personal favorite coffee at any time. Or if you prefer, individually brewed pots of tea are elegantly prepared for your table upon request.  Our teas are of the highest quality, steeped from whole, loose leaf tea. These methods allow Coffee Works to freshly prepare its full range of coffees and teas for in-store consumption.  Press pots of coffee and tea served elegantly at your table will be a Coffee Works signature of quality.

 Many other beverages are available, such as: hot cocoa; steamers (steamed milk with flavored syrup); Italian sodas (a refreshing combination of syrups and seltzer; granitas (an icy beverage made from fruit based concentrates); fresh squeezed orange juice and other juices; and bottled water.

Entertainment. Coffee Works boasts a great line up of local and nationally touring singer-songwriters. Live Music almost every Friday and Saturday night along with other events on various nights of the week.  We were proud to present "Women In Docs" from Australia this past summer 2007.   Our Very Popular "Open Mic Night" happens every Tuesday night.
